Mc Mansions are popping up everywhere and old southern homes are being renovated, gentrified or torn down. In this process some of the symbols of the old south are disappearing. Continuing the theme started with the series Southern Comfort, Postcards from the South looks for these symbols and tries to highlight them as exotic relics of an old an distant land. Slowly but surely the Old South is being paved over with strip malls and interstates, but on the small back roads where the sweet corn and tobacco grow you can find some amazing old barns and houses.
